Snow, Holidays, and Auditions

We had quite the snow storm last night. It took me a while to dig out my car and warm it up. Thank goodness there was no school today. Still have lost of homework though. I've been trying to work out and dance more often than I was but with so much school work, it can prove difficult. I still am not sure what we are doing for Thanksgiving as of right now, but I'm sure everything will be sorted out soon. Next Monday and Tuesday at SFCC is the auditions for Shakespeare's King Richard III. Everyone is welcome to audition. there are tons of roles to be filled. I'm getting my monologue all ready this week. I'm really excited for this one!

Pray for our Family

Last night my cousin and his wife were involved in a car accident. Jerod passed away in the hospital. Amanda will be alright. It has been a very difficult day for me to deal with this. I pray that my Aunt will be ok and have a good healing process. Around the holidays doesn't help the situation either. It was a long night. Please pray for my family.

The Good Woman Of Setzuan

I am finally feeling better since I got antibiotics. It kept my bronchitis from becoming pneumonia. My interpreting class is so tiring with all the homework and practice but I know eventually it will pay off. Dad and Annelise are almost done with the living room of repainting it and took out the carpet so it is a nice wooden floor now. soon new furniture.

Also I want to tell everyone that the SFCC production of "The Good Woman of Setzuan" opens next Thursday night at 7:30pm. it runs 2 weeks and Thursdays through Saturdays are 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2pm. Its gonna be a good show and I will be a little hard to recognize at first. Free to students and $8 suggested donation for everyone else. See a really cool interview of it @
www.Spokanefalls.edu and go to courses and programs, then click on pre-majors/transfer, then to drama. on that page you will find a link called Watch and interview. Hope to see you there!

Classes

I survived the second week back to school should be what my t-shirt says right now. I am tired. The cooks came home from Africa today and I got to see all their pictures. It was sooo cool. I also had to practice my receptive skills in ASL. they are so weak. Uhg. I'm sure I will get it soon enough though. And makeup and costumes for the next play as a Chinese God is gonna be awesome!

Ipod, Broadway, Plays and Singing

My ipod itunes program updated and now it's being stupid with not wanting to "find" some of my downloaded music files. GRRRR. I listened to some other music then and then I remembered as I was listening to my Broadway music selections that I once wanted to me a musical Broadway star. I don't know what ever happened to that dream. I just started going in two or three different directions instead and yet that one seems the most fun yet so hard to get into. We have to sing for the next show at the Falls and I realized it has been so long since I have actually sang which mean out of practice. The auditions are Monday. I should try to join a choir of something to get back into practice. Well enough of that thought line. Time to think about dad's wedding tomorrow.

So Much To Do, So Little Time To Do It In

So many hours of this and that for practice and observations for my voicing and Interp 1 class. I just have to remember to take it one class and one day at a time. Mary Kay tonight which will be fun! and getting ready for play auditions next week. For the first time I just want one of the real fun side characters instead of the main character as it sounds fun and I have so much to do already. I am tired and can't wait for bed and for the first week of school to be over. But I think many people can agree with me on the tire part.

Time To Catch Up

At the end of August, Chad and I had a very wonderful camping trip together. We went through Twisp and Winthrop and headed to the Cascades. It was a long drive but the next day we went on the hike we had waited for for a long time. We hiked up Sourdough Mountain. Word to all you hikers, that is a trail for the very experienced with backpacks, not a nice little day hike like we first expected, as we both learned from exhaustion. But still it was fun, and we survived my cooking which is a huge feat. Now school has started and My ASL interpreting classes are scary but i think I'm ready. My Mary Kay business is starting to get going and right now, through all the stress that has been thrown at me, I think I'm doing alright.

ASL 3

I am taking a four week long American Sign Language course this summer. Its very compact as its suppose to originally be twelve weeks. But its not to bad. I have been keeping up and passing all my tests. I just finished writing out my plan for my 10 min. long signing project I have to do in front of the class next week. I'm doing it on fitting and showing my rabbits.
I also got to talk to Joanne from my dads work yesterday at Denny's. Man at first I really sucked at it, but I started picking things up and it was slow going but I was getting it. This week I have also decided to re evaluate my life and decide if I want to wait till I finish my AA and then do the Interpreting course OR do the interpreting course next quarter and I think I will start with everyone else next quarter and finish that and then finally finish the AA and be done. It seems smoother and so I will hopefully be spending at least once a week with Joanne and other members of the Deaf community to get better. I'm excited now! I will be an interpreter!

Silverwood

Thursday, Chad and I went to Silverwood. It was mildly spur of the moment...kinda. The weather decided to test our endurance and our want of fun. I mean it was my only day off all week so I needed fun. It was kinda warm but cloudy. So we went to Boulder Beach, and when we got to cold, we had to get out and change and warm up. Then as we went to ride rides it started to down pour rain. Once it stopped we went on the log ride. no rain at all, but then as we are on the ride what happens? RAIN. we got soaked from the rain, not the ride. But it was fun anyways and got a great picture on Tremors together. It was a pretty good day.

Long Work Week

Been getting long work shifts at work. I'm glad cuz that means I'm making the money but man I'm tired. Went to dads open house at work this last week before work. It was fun, but I do miss how it use to be. Not as much stuff. But it was really nice to see all the people I know there. I saw "Predators" Wednesday night with Chad and it kinda threw me for a bit of a loop at the end with Topher Grace's character, but I knew he didn't quite fit in. But it was good. Then Thursday after work, Chad came and picked me up and we ate, and then went to the Imax to see "Inception" which was so totally mind blowingly awesome!!! When it ended I was like, "WHAAAAT!" it was a very "wow" movie and I highly recommend it. Great actors definitely. And to think Chris Nolan (the director) had this idea since he was like 16. Great job Chris! Anyways, I would totally see it again. And welcome the start of a new week.

It's A Good Monday

It felt good to finally feel like I am getting my Mary Kay business on track. It was fun. I also weeded the raspberry bushes and until this day didn't realize how much of a weed raspberry bushes are themselves. I am also checking out about applying to Western Washington University in Bellingham and it scared me a little because applying is so confusing and I don't know when i would get a chance to take a tour. I guess everything eventually all slides into place. I just need to be patient. also as I was typing this I killed a mosquito with my hands like a ninja!

End Of Quarter

Today was pretty much the end of the quarter for me. I have to papers to email to my philosophy teacher by the 18th but other than that I am home free for a short while anyways. I can't wait till my trip to Reno the first week of July!!! And my baby bunnies have been growing like weeds. The drag show on the 10th went very well and was fun. We had our first show sold out and the second show was not sold out but it was pretty big. Its nice to have it over though. It is definitely time for a much needed break.

Talk About Stressed

Finals, work, show, and Chad new schedule. I'm like freaking out! and I am mad at some...stuff yet even when I work it out in my head, I am still mad. I am not calming down or getting over it either. I think I'm not mostly because I'm stressed and I keep working myself into these stress fits. And now I don't feel good. I think I just need to be mad right now. Everyone has those weeks. And I am sure I will get over, It, when I am good and ready to.
On another note, my baby bunnies are getting so big!!! I love my little guys!

Another Update

On Friday, we closed at work really fast so that Lydia and I could go to the Airway Heights Theater to see "Prince of Persia" And we were two people of like six in the whole theater. We loved it. It was really good and after years of Hating and wanting to throw up on Jake Gyllynhall or however you spell it, I think I might start to like him now. He did a good job. Also my Netherland Dwarf bunnies had two healthy babies and I hope they stay that way. They are adorable and My pride and joy right now. They are sooo cute.
And tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of Mom's Death. I am not a happy person today and everything is not only pissing me off with me having short nerves but I also cry really easy. I just want to go to bed. So I think I will do that.

Theater Awesomeness!

Today we had a full run through of the show in costume. It was sooooo hot in all that clothing. I decided I need to better condition myself and drink more water before the show and make sure I have water ready after the show. Not only is this show physically exhausting, its mentally exhausting. I love every minute of it though and I can't wait till we open. We are all totally ready to open and I am excited and very happy to have been working with such an amazing cast and crew. They have all been amazing! Thanks guys. Remember, we run the 6th through the 16th Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30, and Sundays at 2pm. doors open a half hour before show and Sunday the 9th is our food drive benefit so if you can come that day and donate non perishable items that would be awesome. preview Wednesday :)

I got the lead Mary Girard in the next play "The Insanity of Mary Girard" and I tell you, i think this will be one of the greatest show I have ever done, its going to be so creepy. Along with a great rock solid cast, we are excited and a little nervous that opening is May 6th! Not a lot of practice time. Also I just learned that I Passed math (my worst subject). And now after a grooling 5 quarters of math I will never have to take math again!!!!!! Victory is mine! Now on spring break and I am going to back a pie from scratch tomorrow! yay me!

Wanted to share my knowledge with you.

So we have been learning a lot in my health class over an array of things just to peak out interest so we can learn more about it if we like. Some of my main interests have been food choices in Nutrition. Go to www.themeatrix.com. It a very knowledgeable site. Its what is going on with out food in factory farms. This is not to make you go vegitarian by any means, I would just like to encourge everyone to buy their meat and milk from local family farms.i knew conditions were bad but I hadn't thought about how bad. Its a great site and we learned all about it in my health class.

On another note if you go to www.mypyramid.gov you can see what servings of food is healthy and in the section My Pyramid Menu Planner and fill in the info, you can see how it amounts for your body in one day and can see if you are in a danger zone of health. i find both of these fun. Hope you all have fun too.

January Rabbit Show

Today dad and I went to the Rabbit show. I got four first place ribbons, 2 best of varieties, and 2 best opposite sex varieties, which is really exciting. Then we sold two of our other rabbits, so we now have room for more, babies that will be of better show quality. Hopefully Netherland Dwarfs. I also join a Netherland Dwarf club, and for a Netherland dwarf show that is happening in May, i am helping organize the potluck for all the TONS of Netherland dwarf breeders out there. Its crazy but I love showing my bunnies. It is time to finish homework and go to bed. I am exhausted!

Week one over...now for week 2

The first week of school went well, and I hope it stays that way. Now that I have been dancing more again finally, I feel I will be able to choreograph that song for Lydia probably in the middle of next month. I was finding when I would watch my bellydance teacher on YouTube that she was always so good, and though in class I would strive to be good, I seem to only make it second best, so now is my time to shine, and I am working harder than ever to be awesome!

HellOooooo

This is Rushele Signing on to 2010. Hellooooo New Year! New years eve party was a blast, and might I say, the best I had ever had. And also Happy Birthday Hooch! today my dog turns 9 years old. I have my schedule for school all printed out and my bag mostly ready, no books yet, but oh well. As ready as I'll ever be for the beginning of the quarter tomorrow. I have lots of books on my book shelf that need reading I was realizing and no time to actually read them. But I will find away. Happy New Years Everyone!
