This week has definitely felt like summer. It has been nice and hot, just how I like it, and time spent with some of my favorite people.
This week started with a Sunday to Monday camping trip with Chad and myself taking Mack our Blue Heeler camping for the first time. He had so much fun! In the morning, we let Mack out of the tent to go poddy while chad and I got ready for the day. Mack was fine for about 6-8 min before something (probably a deer) scared him so bad he almost broke out tent to get back in with us and as we emerged from our tent he peed himself. It was funny in a pitiful way. He was fine though after that. We played in the creek which was so cold it felt marvelous. We were all so exhausted after that trip.
Then on Wednesday, I went and got coffee with my friend Jessica to catch up a bit. We couldn't believe how we had been off and on trying to make a date and time to catch up for about 1 year. So we agreed it was definitely time to do it. We are going to try not to let time slip away from us like that again if we can help it.
Then on Friday, yesterday, Chad and I went to Deer Lake with my friend Brooke to swim and have a blast! Once finished there, myself and Chad went to Colville to see the Drive-In movie theater since neither of us had done that before. Sadly our only drive-in theater is going to shut down about Labor Day weekend due to a lack of funds to update their systems for the technology. It was a wonderful double feature. We watched "Epic" which was really good and I loved it even though I wasn't sure I would. Turns out the only problem with this movie seems to be the title. If you have a title that doesn't match the movie content, you movie will fail in theaters. The second movie was "Man of Steal" which the fight scenes were good and the music was wonderful but there were some serious story flaws and bad character development. I mean really, Mr. Kent was not a hard ass mean, guilting father. He was careful and encouraging. You shouldn't want to hope that that character dies but this time you really wanted it to happen. And if you write a history in the beginning to explain how something should work and then you break that rule later with no explanation, you get really confused. But other than that it was a good move.
All in all we really enjoyed ourselves this week and I am so fortunate to have such wonderful friends.

Color Me Rad!
I pass my last college course with flying colors! I thought I did really bad on my last test last thursday but turns out I did really well earning an 86%. That being said, my lowest test grade of the quarter was dropped since my teacher only counts 5 out of 6 tests. So my grade went up to a 3.2 and I am so excited. I am happy I am now done with college for right now. I have my ASL certificate and I have my AA degree so I am set.
On another note, Saturday, my friend Jaime, Chad, Steven, and Kristina and myself all did the Spokane "Color Me Rad" fun run. We all got covered in powder paint from head to foot. So glad that the people coordinating the run gave everyone sunglasses to keep the paint out of our eyes. We had so much fun with this 3.5 mile run. Go Team Spacecat!

Wow! Big Update
I have been so busy since last years post in April that I haven't had another post since then. I guess it is about time for a bit of an update.
Last May, Chad and I moved in to a beautiful apartment together. It has been fun and we are loving it. We also got a puppy named Mack who will be 1 year old on June 3rd, 2013. He is such an awesome dog, and we love him. He is very smart. He already knows a whole list of tricks we show people. He is also very energetic so it takes a lot to tire him out.
I have also been subbing as a school district Sign Language Interpreter and recently got hired by the college to work as an Interpreter there. I enjoy it very much and it is nice to have a regular day job now. Since I got this job, I should now be able to go and audition for more plays come the end of this summer. It will feel very good to finally be on the stage again. I miss it very much.
I will be graduating this June, now that I will finally be finishing my last class that has taken a fight to get since colleges seem to want to keep people forever. Thank goodness it is almost over!

The Happenings of Late
I have signed up for my first science class this spring quarter. I am in Bio 160 and it has proven to be difficult to keep up and remember all that is necessary for each test. I take long night classes and the average amount of class days I have between each test is about 3 days. Not a lot of time to ask questions. My second test is this coming Tuesday and hopefully my flash cards I just finished will help me.
I am still working as a sign language interpreter at two school districts and some times I also sub as a para educator. It is spring time and many people are using up their sick days and all that so I have luckily been kept very busy. I also recently started a third job being a server for a catering company called Glover Mansion. The busy season for them has just started so I look forward to many work days through the summer with them.
Also, in the next few weeks, my boyfriend Chad and I will be moving into our own apartment. It is a very exciting time for us with that. I can't wait! It will be nice to have our own space. Wish us luck!!

Just Another Day
So thankfully SOPA has not passed thanks to an overwhelming number of people writing to their government. That made me happy. I was glad so many web sites did either a full blackout or a partial blackout together one day so people could see those sites would be targeted and really...the Internet was boring that day and slightly hard to use. So go American citizens.
My job search is still on going. I have put in many job applications but so far no one is biting. I'm sure it will happen sometime soon. But as for right now, I just continue to job hunt and substitute interpret maybe once a month. Hopefully next quarter I won't miss out on a science class again. It has been pretty boring not working or going to school. But I know this is probably the calm before the storm. Watch; in the spring when i start a hard science class, I will also find work, and my film project will pick up again. then i will be so busy I will probably wonder what happened. But until then I wait.

SOPA-Its Bad News
So, I was reading up on SOPA (stop online piracy act) today, and that's when I realize most of the people I know don't know anything about this bill other than that the titles sounds good and should be something you are for. But see it's a good thought, but its a bad bill.
If you use Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Google, Yahoo, Reddit, Youtube or anything on the Internet like it, (which all of us do and use everyday) then you can't let SOPA or PIPA pass.
These bills are the way for our government to shut these down and control and censor our Internet like CHINA does. We don't want that. The government makes these sound good in the title because they don't want us to look into how corrupt and awful these would be. There are other things that are working at protecting from piracy without these awful restrictions. So please do not fall for the government and don't let these pass.

Welcome to the Year 2012
I had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family as well as a great New Years with more friends and watching some fireworks. with the new year finally arrived, I hope a few unfinished filming projects will become complete as well as figuring out money to finally get an apartment. Lots to do, yet still a bit tired from all the busyness of the holidays. Hopefully everything will start to come together soon. :)
